In various bands, Gentry has opened for national acts such as Warren
Zevon, John Eddie, and Southside Johnny. As a member of Holiday Express,
he has also shared the stage with Rob Thomas, Johnny Reznick of the Goo
Goo Dolls, and Ryan Star. Roger Taylor is a member of both Tim Mcloone
and the Shirleys and Holiday Express and has played alongside Bruce
Springsteen and Clarence Clemons. Multi-instrumentalist and session
musician Marc Muller has toured with Shania Twain, Gretchen Wilson, and
Van Zant. Former Cats on a Smooth Surface bassist, Johnny Micco, is a
NYC musician, singer, and session player and has also played alongside
Bruce Springsteen and Bob Bandiera of the BonJovi band. Rene Woolley of

played in NYC with Jimmy Vivino, guitarist from The Max Weinberg 7. Greg
Berger has performed with Kevin Eubanks, Mary Wells, Jose Feliciano,
and many others. George Ott plays in the BethAnne Clayton Band and is
lauded for his songwriting in the book, Local Heroes: The Asbury Park
Music Scene by Carl "Tinker" West, Bruce Springsteen's former manager.
Laurie Sparrow was a member of the 70's and 80's shore-area bands,
Homefries and Street Cat. She was also a charter member of That Band
from Atlantic Highlands.
The Byrds, one of the most significant musical groups of the 60's helped
to revolutionize popular music by merging the influences of folk music,
the Beatles, and the British Invasion in their arrangements and
compositions. Later on, they were pioneers in the genre of country rock
along with Bob Dylan, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Gram Parsons, Poco,
Pure Prairie League, The Eagles, etc. Gram Parsons, also a member of the
Byrds albeit for a short time, was instrumental in shifting the group's
direction towards country rock. The mainstay and leader of the group,
however, was the legendary Roger McGuinn, who was the only Byrd to
remain a member from the group's inception to its demise. McGuinn along
with David Crosby, Chris Hillman, Gene Clark, and Parsons went on to
successful solo careers or other bands, most notably Crosby as a member
of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
